Characterization of anti-microbial properties of commonly available medicinal herbs for their possible use in herbal product formulation.

DAAD fellow scientist at University of Bielefeld, Germany (Sep’09-Dec’09)

As visiting scholar through DAAD scholarship in the project entitled “Genetic Regulation of Peroxiredoxin Protein Accumulation and Activity in the Crop Plant Cicer arietinum Exposed to Abiotic Stresses”. In the tenure was involved in performing protein expression-based studies during copper and drought induced oxidative stress.

Junior Research Fellow at Banasthali University (formerly Banasthali Vidyapith), Rajasthan (May’07-Sep’09)

As JRF in the DBT project entitled “Oxidative Stress in Plant: Expression of Peroxiredoxins and their Importance in the Detoxification of Reactive Oxygen Species”. The project dealt with studying expression of peroxiredoxin (a stress responsive gene) at transcript and translation levels.
